book supplement of El Periódico de Catalunya Thursday published a review November 1 signed by Ramón Andrés on Repair, by CK Williams: Lost in the labyrinth

CK Williams (Newark, USA, 1936) legitimized in this book one of the primary functions of literature: think the world as living matter. Not surprising that the author turns Repair has been a translator of Francis Ponge, "material harmonious", so to speak, the same that gave life to objects and made a song of how-to everything around us. Poems like Ice, Bone or Pie-dra, contained in the book Willliams, central belong to this genealogy of creations that are in the physical matter of things the pulse of our existence. He earned
this collection by the Pulitzer Prize (2000) y. from beg, it is striking that has not been translated so far the is-locker, because it is full of a poet, a chisel-dor of language able to convey with unprecedented immediacy that it aims to ex-prisoners. And it does so through a vibrating sound that puts reality.
moralist, ironic, critical to our consciousness accommodated in self-deception, accompanying the necessary point of humility when simply placed in first person: a visit to Auschwitz, the fight with a beggar, the vision of a crane stacking Car scrapping a nail embedded in lies brutally hit with a hammer while the painful wait for a biopsy, are reflections, and see metaphors, which Williams comes to bear on the complexity of the maze that we have built awareness-zudamente to lose it and not return to the difficult responsibility that entails being free.
This is the great lesson of the American poet, WH Auden reader, Derek Wallcott and Adam Zagajewski, voices, all from very different red record, but they serve to CK Williams for creating the counterpoint that seeks nothing to ease the passage through biography we are and approach, determined, to our true selves.
